Christmas Presents 2015

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New Year, today is a little depressing for me as it’s the day that I have to take down the Christmas tree, so before the festivities completely disappear for another year I thought I would tell you about the Christmas presents that I received this year – which I am super grateful for. I’ve concentrated only on beauty because I didn’t want to bore you too much with every pressie I got (but definitely let me know if you would like to see a post on all other pressies). So here are some of the beauty goodies that Rob, my family and my friends got for me this year!

Thierry Mugler Alien Perfume

This has been my favourite perfume for year. My last bottle ran out a year ago, and since then I haven’t got round to purchasing another bottle. So I was very very grateful when Rob got me this, I haven’t stopped wearing it since Christmas Day. It’s quite a sweet smell but not too over powering and lasts all day!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette

This wasn’t actually a Christmas pressie, I got this for my birthday from my friends but as my birthday is only 2 weeks before Christmas I thought that I would mention it. This palette is stunning, filled with rose shades (in a beautiful rose coloured tin), a great mix of shimmers and mattes. I have been lusting over this for ages, so I am so pleased to finally have it in my collection.

Soap & Glory The Perfect Ten Eyeshadow Palette – Limited Edition

Also a birthday present, this one is from Rob (last birthday pressie I promise). Last year I bought the Perfect Ten palette and it is one of my all time favourite palettes, so when I found out that Soap & Glory were releasing one this year I was very excited. There are just 2 matte shades, and the remaining 8 are shimmery, just one shadow is the same as the previous year. It has some gorgeous plum shadows (Plumtious is my favourite) and a lovely highlight shadow (Moon Mist) and the most fantastic black shadow with blue shimmer (Smoulder). The shadows are super pigmented and really long lasting. If you can still get your hands on this make sure you pick it up!

MAC Burgundy Times Nine Eyeshadow Palette

I fell in love with this in November when I was hunting for the perfect palette for my friend’s birthday present, and I have been obsessed with it ever since. I was so shocked when I received this from Rob on Christmas Day, amazing Autumn/Winter shadows, some matte, some shimmer, complete with gold, copper, bronze and two stunning burgundy shades. I think this is my new all time favourite palette!

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

A great pressie from my Mum, I have been wanting to try this for a while now, and even bought my friend one for Christmas. I’ve used it a couple of times since Christmas and it is remarkable. It takes makeup off so easily and leaves my skin feeling super soft. Definitely recommend.

Anastasia Beverley Hills Contour Kit

Another pressie from my mum, and one I am absolutely over the moon with. This palette is the cream palette and I am so excited to give it a proper try. My Real Technique Miracle Complextion Sponge has gone missing, so I am waiting until I replace it before I have a play about with it. So I will keep you updated!

Lush Snowman Shower Jelly

This is a present from Rob’s mum, it’s smells amazing, can’t wait to use it. I love Lush shower jellies and this one is in a super cute Snowman shape! It smells really fresh but also very indulgent.

Lush 5 Gold Rings Bubble Bar

I saw this a while ago while picking up secret Santa presents in Lush and really wanted it but refrained due to Christmas saving, and lucky me, Rob got me one! It’s smells like vanilla and looks so cute! It does 5 baths which is perfect, you just break one off each time you want to use it.

Mac Lipsticks

I was so pleased when I got these from Rob on Christmas morning, I got two lipsticks Ladybug which is a bold red and See Sheer which is like a deep coral. Both shades are stunning and really shiny and keep lips looking plump. So over the moon with these!

Zoeva Makeup Brushes

Another present from Rob, I got the 129 Luxe Fan Brush which I am super excited about. I have been looking for a fan brush for ages now, I can’t wait to give this a go. The 102 Silk Finish Brush from the Rose Golden range, which is so soft! It’s short and really dense so it’s unlike any other brush I have. And the 221 Luxe Soft Crease Brush which is also from the Rose Golden range, I have been searching for the perfect crease brush and I still haven’t found it, I have been torn between this and the MAC 217 for a very long time, so I am really excited to try this out.

Ciate Candy Cane House Nail Varnishes

This came in the cutest packaging! It has 4 mini nail varnishes in it, all different coloured sparkles and they all have signature Christmas scents, so it was a very well received festive gift from Rob’s sister. Snow Fall is white glitter which smells of snowflakes it is a very fresh scent. Candy Craze is green, red and white glitter so it is super festive and smells distinctively of candy canes! Ginger Snap is a mix of glitters, gold, pink, blue and green and smells of gingerbread. And tangled tinsel which is filled with blue and gold glitter, the gold glitter is cut into different shapes and sizes so it looks beautiful and it smells of Christmas Trees. Such a lovely pressie for a nail varnish junkie like myself!

Smashbox Set

This was a lovely present from Rob’s mum as she knows I am obsessed with primers. It comes with a primer, mascara, a lip gloss and brown eye shadow trio. I have already tried most of it out and I absolutely love the primer it works really well, the lip gloss is a great wearable shade and the mascara is a fantastic day time mascara, not too dramatic while also adding some volume.

REISS Bath Collection

This is from my brother and his wife, and the packaging is absolutely gorgeous, Rob also received one (his is black), so the packaging looks great together. It comes in a sleek white box and contains a Bath Oil, a Polishing Scrub and a Body Glow, they all smells beautiful.
