Valentines Day Makeup Picks

Whether you are going on a date with your man, going on a girls night to find Mr. Right or staying home watching the Notebook and hating every man you’ve ever met, we all deserve to look and feel fabulous this Valentines weekend.  Whether that involves a face mask and an over bubbly bath, some fantastic over dinner makeup or getting out your freakum dress and killer heels and dancing to Single Ladies all night long, who cares as long as you feel hawt! So here’s my favourite Valentine makeup picks for this year.

Wilko’s Kiss Primer
Super cheap primer so you don’t feel guilty about piling it all over your face, you definitely need to have your best primer at the ready for a hot Valentine’s evening! This goes on really easily and keeps my makeup in place all day, it doesn’t do much to combat oil but it definitely keeps things intact.

Revolution Ultra Blush Palette
This has 6 blushes and 2 highlight shades, perfect because the shades are all so different so you can mix it up a bit, they are very pigmented so use with a light hand. There’s some more neutral pinks and then some real stand out powders.

NARS Orgasm
This is my all time favourite blush, complete with a bit of shimmer to help your highlight pop. It’s the perfect dusty pink shades so it wears really well. Definitely be the blush that I am reaching for this Valentines Day, it gives off the perfect glow for a sultry look.

Makeup Academy Undress Your Skin Highlighter
Really shimmery so definitely packs a punch, I love the shade, a really subtle pink which looks amazing on the skin. You can layer this up so it’s perfect for day and night.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick – Pink Quartz
I mention this all the time because it is my all time favourite highlighter, has the most gorgeous colour and lasts all night long, definitely gives your skin a bit of life. It’s not very pigmented but definitely has a lot of shimmer packed in to it.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
Has the most perfect rose shades, exactly what you want for Valentine’s day, something pink and girly and not too heavy. You can mix it up and create some different looks for whatever the occasion.

Kiko Eyeshadow – 137
This is a stunning shimmery burgundy eyeshadow, has great colour pay off and really blendable. I wore this so much over Christmas so I’m glad it can make a comeback this weekend.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick – 33
I love Rimmel lipsticks, they are one of my favourite lipstick brands, this lipstick is a stunning pink colour, perfect for Valentines Day.

MAC Lipstick – Lady Bug
A gorgeous red lipstick, absolutely stunning. One of my favourite lipsticks, I wore this on Christmas day, it’s a beautiful pop of colour but it’s sheer so extremely easy to wear.

So Susan Rose Quartet
This is a lip and cheek compact, but because it is so small it’s really hard to use on cheeks, but I love using it on my lips. It has a bright red, a shocking pink, a lighter pink and a nude. Perfect for any look but hard to use on the go.

Rimmel Provocalips Lip Stain – 310 Little Minx
If you are out for dinner this Valentines opt for a lip stain, it won’t budge no matter how many cheesecakes and cocktails you consume. This colour is a little out there, so if that scares you, check out the other shades in the range. It lasts all night long and needs hardly any maintenance.

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara
I have only used this a couple of times but I am falling in love with it, it’s an amazing mascara! I won’t go on too much about it because a full review will be up soon, but I had to include it because of the gorgeous pink and red packaging.

Barry M Nail Paint – 272 Shocking Pink
I love Barry M nail varnishes, they apply so easy and last for ages. This colour is stunning and gives a real pop. If you aren’t brave enough to wear shocking pink lipstick then pop on some of this for some colour.

What are your plans this Valentines Day?

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
