2015 Makeup Favourites

2015 was a great year of makeup for me, I’ve done a bit more experimenting this year when it comes to makeup and I have tried a lot of new things. This year I have broken my favourites down into categories because it was getting too difficult to just pick a handful of products. It was quite hard to think back to the start of 2015, but I have just tried to pick things that I have been constantly picking up through the year. So I hope you enjoy!

Primer
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer, I know I speak about this primer a lot but there is a reason why, it is hands down my all time favourite primer. Laura Mercier do different primers for different skin types so it is well worth checking out their range. It applies like a dream, looks great and keeps makeup put all day.

Blotter
I have combination skin so it means that sometimes I get ridiculously oily patches on my face, even though not strictly a category I just had to mention Benefit’s Pore Fessional License to Blot. I pop this over my chin before applying my foundation and it keeps me looking oil free all day.

Foundation
The No7 Stay Perfect Foundation, in the summer I use cool beige and in the summer I use cool vanilla. This has been my favourite foundation for years, I absolutely love it. The colour range is amazing and it applies beautifully.

Concealer
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (I wear 1 Fair) is super hyped so I won’t go on about it too much, really creamy, great coverage and not too drying under the eyes. A fantastic product.

Setting Powder
E.LF. High Definition Powder, this stuff is amazing, all of my friends have tried it and they all love it. It’s great for taking away shine without making makeup look cakey. It’s translucent so it’s absolutely perfect for me.

Bronzer
I still don’t feel as though I have found ‘The One’ when it comes to bronzer, all though I have found so many that I love. The Bourjois Bronzing Powder in 52 has been a solid favourite through the year for me, it’s matte so can be used in any season and is really wearable. I am also completely in love with the scent.

Contour
Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit, this kit is amazing especially for the price, the contour shade in the palette is beautiful, not too muddy and not too orange, it’s perfect. Really buildable and blendable. The highlight shade in the palette is also lovely because it’s matte which makes a refreshing change.

Highlighter
I managed to narrow this down to two, the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Pink Quartz is amazing, if you don’t own a shimmer brick then you need to invest in one. They last forever! And look so incredibly beautiful. Sometimes I use it as eye shadow and love it for my cheeks because of the pink tones. Another favourite is the Jelly Pong Pong Luminizer gel. This is a liquid highlighter and you only need a tiny amount, a put a little pea sized amount on my finger, swipe it up my cheeks and down my nose and I am done! It’s amazing and really easy to use.

Blusher
It had to be NARS Orgasm, I haven’t had this for very long but I am in love. This is the most beautiful shade, complete with shimmer so it looks fantastic on the skin. Gives a real healthy glow to cheeks. Highly recommended.

Eye Brows
The Seventeen Brow’s That Brow Kit has been mentioned so much on my blog, it is definitely my favourite brow palette, I use it day and night, Summer and Winter, it is just perfect for all the time. When I am in a rush I will use a brow pencil but otherwise I will use this. It has a brow pencil to outline your browns, a wax to keep them in place, and a powder to fill them in, it also has a cute highlighter. Perfect and so easy to use, it’s a little dark though and doesn’t come in any other shades so if you have fair eyebrows this is possibly one to avoid.

Eye Shadows
This was a little difficult because as you know I am an eyeshadow junkie! But I have a narrowed it down to just one palette and 3 individual shadows. I tried to think about which palette I could use morning and night and no matter what time of year and I picked the Revolution Ultra Eyeshadows in Flawless. This palette is essentially filled with shimmer shadows with a couple of mattes but they are perfect for any occasion. It has natural browns, pink shadows, reds, golds, bronzes, shimmer chocolate shadows and blacks, it has 32 shadows and all of them are stunning and really wearable. I think it only cost me £8 so I would highly recommend! The individual shadows are Essence I <3 Nude – 05 my favourite tauping, this is a beautiful nude colour that is perfect for everyday, very natural and very wearable. MUA in Copper, this is stunning and very very shimmery, so lovely for parties, I have had a lot of wear out of this. And KIKO in 137 this is a shimmery burgundy colour, it is really buildable and has had so much use during Autumn/Winter, absolutely gorgeous.

Eye Liners
I have narrowed this down to 3 eyeliners. The So Susan Haute Light, this is a highlighting pencil so I use this for my brow bone and cupids bow but I also love applying it to my water line to make my eyes seem a bit bigger, really lovely and not as in your face as a white liner. The MeMeMe in Clay, this is a lovely brown/grey, it looks much more natural than black, it is really long lasting and looks beautiful in the day time. And the NARS Larger than Life Long Wear Eyeliner in Black, this eye liner is amazing, one it is applied it will not budge or smudge, an amazing eyeliner and lasts all day long!

Mascara
I thought I would mention the Manna Kadar Conditioning Lash Primer here, you apply it before you apply mascara and it keeps lashes healthy and also adds volume. So not only is it good for you it also looks good too. You have to be quick with the mascara as it dries very quickly and that makes it very hard to manage, but definitely worth a buy. My favourite mascara of the year has to be the Avon Spectra Lash Mascara, you can adjust the tube to determine how much volume you want lashes to have. Really fantastic mascara and definitely packs on the volume.

Lip Gloss
This is the only product to feature in my 2014 favourites and in my 2015 favourites, it’s the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker in Pink Apricot, this lipgloss is amazing super shiny and makes lips plump up with a slight tingly feeling. It is sticky, so not one to be worn on a windy day, but it looks lovely.

Lip Stick
Narrowed it down to two, this year was the year of the nudes so I have two nude lipsticks that I haven’t put down all month. Rimmel Kate Moss Nude Collection in 45, this shade is stunning, a lovely light pink/brown it applies really easily and wears really well, this has lived in my bag since I got it and it is very nearly finished. And ofcourse MAC Brave, this shade is amazing!! Similar to the Rimmel one, this is slightly more pink and a little darker, absolutely beautiful and my favourite MAC Lipstick.

That finally concludes my 2015 favourites, have you tried any of these products? What did you think?

What were your favourite makeup products this year?
