January 16 Favourites

Welcome to the first monthly favourites of the year, I hope you all had a great January even though it has flown by. I love January, for me it is a month that symbolises new beginnings, a step towards making yourself the you that you want to become. This month for me has been focused on work, studying and healthy eating. I started back on my old healthy eating and exercise regime, over the past 4 weeks I have lost a whopping 11 pound and 3 inches from my waist and 1.5 inches from my hips, so this month has consisted of a lot of random favourites including recipes, foods and lifestyle bits but for now here are my January beauty faves!

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm
I got this balm for Christmas after having it on my wish list for a very long time, I put a bit on my fingers, rub them together and rub it straight on to my face, it makes all of my makeup melt away, after massaging it in, take a damp muslin cloth and wipe it away. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and feeling really clean and refreshed. I have been obsessed with this since I got it. If you want to see what else I got for Christmas see my blog post here

Benefit They’re Real Eye Makeup Remover
This is one of the best eye makeup removers that I have tried. I just massage it in to my lashes for 30 seconds and then wipe away with a cotton pad and even waterproof eye makeup is removed. Really works and isn’t too harsh on my eyes.

Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche – 24hr Soothing & Hydrating Mask
This can be used as a mask treatment, leave on for 10 minutes, then rub in excess with fingers or remove with a toner. It tends to dry out and turn in to a bit of a peel if you try to rub in excess with fingers so throughout January I have been using this as an overnight treatment. I’ve been applying a thin layer of it all over my face at night and when I wake up in the morning my skin feels super soft. Perfect for winter and it smells gorgeous!

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
I got this for Christmas in a Smashbox set, I’d never tried this before even though I’d heard a lot about it. It keeps makeup in place for hours, it’s a clear gel so it’s perfect under foundation and applies really easily. I’ve heard a lot of people say this broke them out or irritated their skin, but for me this works perfectly with no problems!

Benefit PORE Fessional Pro Balm
Recently my pores are really bothering me and I seem to be noticing them more and more. This stuff is amazing and just completely blurs them out! I use it before my foundation and once all my makeup is finished there is absolutely no trace of pores at all. It’s a god send! I really want to combat my poor issue so if you know of any skin care treatments please let me know!

Emite Makeup Artist Colour Powder Blush – 108
This is a ‘blunzer’ a blusher/bronzer powder, the colour is a beautiful red/brown which is meant to combine your blusher and bronzer together so you only have to use the one powder. This is perfect for a quick makeup day, when I am nipping out I shove on some BB cream and apply this to my cheeks, blend up on to my temples and blend down my jaw line and I am done! Gives a bit of life and colour to your face without spending ages on your makeup! But definitely not one for the heavy handed.

MAC Burgundy Times Nine
I think this is probably my favourite favourite this month! A stunning eye shadow palette which contains 4 mattes and 5 shimmers. 3 shadows are very neutral and could be warn every day, along with a lovely chocolate brown, it contains a rose gold shimmer, a bronze/copper shimmer and 2 gorgeous burgundy shades. I have had so much use out of this during January, perfect for winter!

MODEL CO Lipstick – Kitty
This is a stunning nude lipstick, its got some pink in it which makes it much more wearable and much less 90s girl. Applies beautifully and lasts quite well, really in to this shade right now, most definitely worth a buy if you are in the market for a nude lipstick but aren’t daring enough for a brown lip!

What have been your favourites during January?

Have you tried any of these products, what did you think?

    1. It is beautiful, I bought my friend Amber times nine which is so nice as well, a bit more wearable and neutral than the burgundy. I think I will be picking that up next time I am in Mac.

    1. It is so beautiful, I am really into reds right now so I am loving using it.

The Model Co lipstick is lovely, a pretty similar colour to Mac Brave, it's so nice to apply and has a lovely consistency
